Caylee Marie Anthony

Memorial Service

Full Video

On February 10, 2009, the nation gathered to remember the little girl who touched the nation. Disappearing in June, the country waited breathlessly for word of her return. Meanwhile, attention shifted to her mother, Casey Anthony who failed to report her daughter missing. Over the next six months, CNN’s Nancy Grace led the search with continued broadcasts hoping to uncover the truth in Caylee Marie’s disappearance.

It didn’t take long for suspicion to fall upon Casey. Soon, her family, George, Cindy, and Lee would meet the scrutiny of the public eye, all while Caylee was gone.

On December 11, 2008 the search for Caylee ended. Her remains were found in a wooded area near the Anthony family home. Soon, the remains were identified.

On Feb. 10, 2009, the nation had a chance to grieve the loss of the little girl whom they had hoped and prayed would return safely to her grandparents who had searched for her.
